Born 17 January 1955, Nairobi Kenya. Attended Loreto Convent M'songari from 1959 to 1970 (aged 4 to 15). Represented Kenya in swimming against Zambia, Sudan and East Germany. Was training for the Munich Olympics until an accident, involving broken arms - and later back and shoulder complications - put an end to my swimming career. Being Swimming Captain at M'songari didn't keep me out of mischief or off the hockey pitch and tennis courts!! I was one of the "trouble makers" - as many will attest including Germaine and Hyacinth!!

Left Kenya with my parents (Mary & John) and sister (Susan - who also went to M'songari) in 1970. Lived in the UK for a short time before moving to Sydney, Australia - where we all still reside 30 years later.

Attended Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan for 1 year in 1974 and completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics and Japanese at the University of Sydney in 1977. My work involves consulting to the corporate world in the "people side of change". What I actually do is best described as "change agent", "trouble shooter" and "team doctor"!! In 1995 I co-authored a book on the changing business world with a colleague in Australia. The book entitled "The Equality Myth" has also been translated into Greek and Dutch.

I was at Msongari for too-short a spell, but those three years were my saving grace! Thanks to the splendid and tireless work of my teachers, I managed (somehow!) to acquire 8 o'levels. Spent a year then at Queensway Secretarial College (like my friend Laura Young, our Mothers convinced us "it's always something useful to fall back on" - and they were right!!!). Returned to UK at the beginning of 1983, and have spent most of my working life in the media, currently working in the PR department of a cable company. (Although I ran my own catering company for a couple of years, and had the pleasure of cooking my famous smoked mackerel pate for Prince Charles, who pronounced it "first rate" so decided that would be a good time to stop!). Am married to the lovely (and patient!) David, and we live happily in Surrey with our 5 pussycats.
I would so love to hear from any girls who remember me - I remember all of you, very fondly (although I've never been good with names, so apologies.....) Especially Laurel Berger (and her two sisters, Martha and Anne-Leise who went to ISK I think) Laura Young, Jenny Sharman, Paula da Milamatis (sp?)
